Sector 102 // Judge Bruce - Sydney Conurb
Judge Lenny Bruce wasn’t your typical lawman—and that’s exactly what set him apart.
Serving in the Sydney-Melbourne Conurb, Bruce was known for his laid-back attitude and easygoing approach to justice. That style came into sharp contrast when he was assigned as liaison to Judge Dredd during his 2110 mission to Australia, tracking the Judda and the infamous skysurfer Chopper.
Where Dredd brought intensity and uncompromising authority, Bruce brought perspective.
He was openly taken aback by Dredd’s brutal methods, particularly his relentless pursuit of Chopper—who, under Oz law, hadn’t actually committed a crime. For Bruce, the law wasn’t about obsession or overreach. It was about jurisdiction, balance… and knowing when to stand down.
Eventually, he did just that.
Pushing back against Dredd, Bruce overrode his authority and allowed Chopper safe passage, drawing a clear line between Mega-City justice and the laws of Oz. It was a bold move—one that defined Bruce as a Judge willing to think for himself.
Soon after, he was transferred to Chunder Range, missing a chance to aid Chopper again when new threats emerged.
But Bruce’s story didn’t end there.
During the horrors of Judgement Day in 2114, he stood alongside an international force of Judges battling the dead across the globe. Fighting in the chaos, Bruce held the line with allies like Judge Sergeant Joyce and Johnny Alpha—right up until the end.
He died as he lived:
On his own terms.
