Comic Review // Hellboy and the B.P.R.D: 1952
Early days. Rookie Hellboy. Field missions that go sideways fast. That’s the pitch — and honestly, it delivers.
I’m diving into my second Hellboy comic, come join me for a quick review.
Audio Review // Massacre by Aaron Dembski-Bowden
Massacre is a fast, brutal snapshot of the Night Lords at their peak. Aaron Dembski-Bowden drops Talos and First Claw into the carnage of the Dropsite Massacre, delivering dark humour, ruthless efficiency, and unapologetic violence. It’s everything you want from a Night Lords story, sharp, savage, and far too short once it gets going.
Audio Review // Wolf Mother by Graham McNeill
This marks the final audio drama in my run through War Without End, and Wolf Mother absolutely promises to go out swinging. An intense rescue mission involving Alivia Sureka and Severian.
Audio Review // Twisted by Guy Haley
Twisted is a tense and surprisingly effective Horus Heresy short story that puts Maloghurst back in the spotlight. Stalked by a Neverborn aboard the Vengeful Spirit, the Warmaster’s equerry fights to prove his worth in a Legion that’s rapidly leaving him behind. Atmospheric, unsettling, and a strong follow-up to Vengeful Spirit — but frustratingly short once it gets going.
Falling Face-First into Alien: Black, White & Blood – Treasury Edition
The Alien: Black, White & Blood – Treasury Edition is a stripped-back nightmare that proves you don’t need colour to feel terror. Through three brutal, beautifully illustrated stories, this collection leans into shadow, silence, and splashes of blood (with an unsettling hint of green) to explore humanity, arrogance, and survival in a universe that does not care. Smart, savage, and dripping with atmosphere, this is Alien at its most raw, and I loved every horrifying page.

Audio Review // Horus Heresy: Chirurgeon by Nick Kyme
Excited to dive into another Fabius Bile story. As one of my favourite villains of 40k, it is always enjoyable to experience the 30k "Loyal" version. I'm keen on Reynold's version of him, so I genuinely hope Kyme does him Justice.
Book Review // Star Wars: Tales from the Empire
As with most anthologies, quality and impact vary, but the range here is genuinely impressive. The collection jumps between viewpoints constantly: civilians, smugglers, Imperial personnel, Rebels, and those just trying to survive another day under Imperial rule.
Book Review // The Dead Zone by Stephen King
Continuing my slow but steady journey through Stephen King’s back catalogue, I finally got around to The Dead Zone. This one has been sitting on my mental “must read eventually” list for a while, and I’m glad I finally made the time for it.
Sector 102 // Cerberus & Argus
The twin robot guardians of the Entrance to Sector 102. These sentinels seem dead to the world and silent, but rumours persist of those who have seen them move and kill with no mercy.
Sector 102 // Ferrozoica
Ferrozoica is your go to guy for any items. Need a new Tri-vid player go see Ferrozoica, need a Spitpistol with no questions go to Ferrozoica, got a body to disappear speak with Ferrozoica. Just don’t accept any jerky from him…
Book Review // Imperfect by Nick Kyme
Fulgrim relives his greatest failure through a twisted game of Regicide. Imperfect offers a brief but unsettling glimpse into the arrogance and madness consuming the Primarch of the Emperor’s Children.
Book Review // Horus Heresy: A Safe and Shadowed Place by Guy Haley
The last time we heard from the Night Lords fleet, they were scattered and leaderless in the wake of the disastrous Thramas Crusade. Now, a sizeable portion of the Legion find themselves drawn to a mysterious beacon on the far side of the galaxy.

Book Review // Horus Heresy: Black Oculus by John French
Bridging the gap between Angel Exterminatus and the Battle of Tallarn, this short story focuses on the Navigators assigned to Iron Warrior Legion fleet. After their journey through the Eye of Terror, many of their number are... changed. This story also contains some hints as to the Iron Warriors motivation for their attack on Tallarn.
Book Review // Horus Heresy: Daemonology by Chris Wraight
The Death Guard have already embraced treachery, but this story follows their Primarch as he continues upon the road that will eventually doom his Legion to a plague-wracked damnation.
