Sector 102 // Judge Dredd

We all know his story so I am not going to do a deep dive, but instead a quick overview of the character.

Following the attempted suicide of Chief Judge Fargo in 2051, the Justice Department made a radical decision—to preserve his legacy through cloning. Under the supervision of geneticist Morton Judd, two clones were created in 2066: Joseph Dredd and his brother Rico. Artificially aged and mentally programmed with knowledge of the law, they were fast-tracked into the Academy of Law.

The pair excelled, graduating early at the top of their class. But their training was interrupted by the devastating Atomic Wars of 2070, when they were temporarily deployed as full Judges to help restore order in a collapsing Mega-City One. It was here they first experienced the brutal reality of justice on the streets.

As their careers began, their paths diverged. Joe Dredd became the model Judge—incorruptible and relentless—while Rico fell into corruption, abusing his power for personal gain. When Joe finally brought him to justice, Rico was sentenced to hard labour on Titan, marking a defining moment in Dredd’s life and reinforcing his absolute commitment to the law.

Over the years, Dredd became a legendary figure, taking down gangs, rogue Judges, and city-wide threats—including robot uprisings and returning enemies like Rico himself. His actions consistently reduced crime and solidified his reputation as Mega-City One’s ultimate lawman.

From the radioactive wastelands of the Cursed Earth to internal conspiracies and full-scale wars, Dredd has faced it all—never wavering, never compromising.
