I've been wanting to get back into this Legion for a while, so when I spotted Child of Night by John French, I was hoping for something that would give me a little more of the Night Lords beyond being the scary villains lurking in the background.

The Watcher is a short, brutal Horus Heresy audio tale that uncovers the fate of a Watch Pack sent to keep an eye on the Night Haunter. It's dark, nasty and wonderfully Night Lords, and this fan of Curze's twisted Legion enjoyed every minute. Find out why this little 20-minute story earned a big thumbs up from Peps!
Book Review // The Path of Heaven by Chris Wraight
The Path of Heaven surprised me. I'm still not a huge fan of the White Scars, but Chris Wraight delivers a fast-paced, action-packed novel that finally makes the wider Horus Heresy story feel like it's moving again. Great characters, plenty of mystery, and some fantastic traitor forces make this a very enjoyable read — even if the White Scars still haven't won me over!
Audio Review // The Eagle's Talon by John French
What happens when the Imperial Fists are forced to fight in the shadows instead of standing proudly behind their walls? The Eagle's Talon is a tense, cleverly presented audio drama told through recovered vox transmissions, creating one of the most immersive Horus Heresy stories I've listened to so far. Add in some unexpected moral conflict within the Imperial Fists, and this short tale becomes a real hidden gem.
Book Review: Horus Heresy - Master of the First
Master of the First is a tense Dark Angels audio drama that swaps explosive battles for political intrigue and shifting loyalties on Caliban. Gav Thorpe once again proves he understands the First Legion better than most, delivering a compelling story of Luther, Astelan, and the seeds of betrayal.

In Vorax, a Dark Mechanicum adept lurking within Mars’ Ring of Iron suddenly finds himself hunted by deadly battle-automata. Matthew Farrer delivers a tense and atmospheric short story that flips the perspective and lets us follow the villains for once.
Book Review: Inheritor by Gav Thorpe
Inheritor follows the infamous Eliphas of the Word Bearers as he pursues a dark ritual during Lorgar’s Shadow Crusade in Ultramar. Gav Thorpe brings the fan-favourite Dawn of War character into Horus Heresy lore in a short but entertaining tale of ambition, heresy, and Traitor Legion rivalries.

A White Scars warrior stands trial after rebellion tears through the Legion, but Torghun Khan believes his loyalty lies elsewhere. Chris Wraight’s Brotherhood of the Moon dives into the honour, brotherhood, and dangerous loyalties that nearly pulled the White Scars toward Horus.
Audio Review // Massacre by Aaron Dembski-Bowden
Massacre is a fast, brutal snapshot of the Night Lords at their peak. Aaron Dembski-Bowden drops Talos and First Claw into the carnage of the Dropsite Massacre, delivering dark humour, ruthless efficiency, and unapologetic violence. It’s everything you want from a Night Lords story, sharp, savage, and far too short once it gets going.
Audio Review // Wolf Mother by Graham McNeill
This marks the final audio drama in my run through War Without End, and Wolf Mother absolutely promises to go out swinging. An intense rescue mission involving Alivia Sureka and Severian.
Audio Review // Twisted by Guy Haley
Twisted is a tense and surprisingly effective Horus Heresy short story that puts Maloghurst back in the spotlight. Stalked by a Neverborn aboard the Vengeful Spirit, the Warmaster’s equerry fights to prove his worth in a Legion that’s rapidly leaving him behind. Atmospheric, unsettling, and a strong follow-up to Vengeful Spirit — but frustratingly short once it gets going.
Audio Review // Horus Heresy: Chirurgeon by Nick Kyme
Excited to dive into another Fabius Bile story. As one of my favourite villains of 40k, it is always enjoyable to experience the 30k "Loyal" version. I'm keen on Reynold's version of him, so I genuinely hope Kyme does him Justice.
