Sector 102 // Mutie Kharnagar – Scout for Hire

Not every mutie in the Cursed Earth is a hardened warrior. Some are just trying to make a living without getting themselves killed. Mutie Kharnagar falls firmly into the second category!

Kharnagar is an independent scout operating in and around the Sector 102 outskirts. He doesn't belong to any gang, doesn't swear allegiance to any warlord, and certainly isn't interested in dying for somebody else's cause. He's a scout for hire, and as long as the price is right, he'll go just about anywhere.

Well, almost anywhere. He's got to have some standards!

The Cursed Earg is a dangerous place for anyone who doesn't belong. The irrated wastelands are crawling with gangs, each with its own territory, grudges, and reasons to hate the competition. Muties roaming the Cursed Earth are particularly unwelcome, and anyone caught snooping around the wrong aera could find themselves in a world of trouble.

That's where Kharnagar comes in.

Need someone to find a safe route through the Blackwater Marshland? Want to know which gang controls a particular settlement? Looking for a quiet way into Mega-City One, or perhaps a reliable source of food and supplies? Kharnagar might be your mutie.

He's not the bravest soul in the Cursed Earth, mind you. Courage has never been his strongest attribute, and he's yet to meet a fight he couldn't happily avoid. But while other muties are busy proving how tough they are, Kharnagar is busy working out three different escape routes. And that's kept him alive.

Of course, working for hire has its risks. One day he might be helping a band of muties find their way into the city; the next, he could be guiding a trader through gang territory or scouting a promising spot for someone else's little scheme. He doesn't ask too many questions, provided the job pays and the answers don't involve getting shot.

Kharnagar isn't loyal to any particular gang, but that doesn't mean he can't be trusted. He's got a reputation to maintain, after all. A scout who gets his clients killed won't stay in business for long. Just don't expect him to stick around once the shooting starts.

In Sector 102, information is valuable, a good escape route is priceless, and knowing when to run is a survival skill.
