Fairly Hyperman was apparently the last survivor of Kapok, a planet which had exploded. He came to Earth, where he discovered that the lower gravity and yellow sun gave him fairly hyper powers, and announced his intention to become Mega-City One's protector; this, coupled with his violent methods, incurred the wrath of Judge Dredd, who defeated him by shooting him with bullets made of Green Kapokite, fragments of Hyperman's homeworld which had been through a radioactive dust cloud. Apparently, Justice Department routinely keeps samples from all such exploded planets, particularly irradiated ones. As he was taken off to the Cubes, Hyperman remarked that this seemed pretty unlikely; Dredd countered this by saying that Hyperman was pretty unlikely himself.
