Beer Review 190 // Imperial Super Guy IIPA by Beyond the Pale Brewing Company

Back to clearing out the last of the beers from the fridge. Today's brew is another classic brew from Beyond the Pale Brewing Company - who disclaimer I work for. Let's get into it.

Name: Imperial Super Guy

Style: Rye IIPA

ABV: 9.1%

Brewery: Beyond the Pale Brewing Company Ottawa, Ontario. Canada.

Fluff: Imperial Super Guy is brewed with even more grain to produce a body of caramel-rich fortitude and gets an extra kick of juicy bittering endurance from a heroic dose of Citra in the dry-hop. If you like the aromatic double IPA, come fast to grab this beer.

So this beer is brewed in a very similar way to Rye Guy IPA. The only difference is that it is double up of everything! With the extra rye and caramel malts, we get treated to this intense and stunning red-coloured brew. Look at it; it is beautiful. This extra sweeter malt base also leads to a bigger hit of caramel sweetness. But don't worry, this is not a sweet beer. With the extra Citra hops and the bitterness this brings, we are actually treated to a well-rounded brew.

Overall, ISG has a tremendous juicy bitter hit, rounding out this bold, stunning beer best enjoyed with the beautiful Ottawa sunshine. This is a beer I can only drink once a day, but damn, do I want to drink another!

Let me know what you are drinking in the comments below. Cheers!
