Beer Review 145 // Reflection by Fine Balance Brewing

New brewery on the blog!! Fine Balance is new to me brewery from Kingston and I was given a couple of cans by a good friend who orders some treats. Let us not waste time and crack open this can.

Details

Name: Reflection
Brewery: Fine Balance
Style: DIPA
ABV: 8%
Brewery Notes: Reflection DIPA was brewed with a healthy percentage of Oat Malt, White Wheat Malt, and Flaked Wheat & Oats to achieve a full-body as well as an underlying creamy profile. Reflection is brewed with Citra hops and Citra Cryo hops.

Reflection delves deep into the world of Citra. Expect to find bright flavors of tropical fruits and citrus, as well as aromas to match.

Review

First impressions of this new to me brewery...amazing. This is a solid DIPA. It pours this opaque orange, whilst being capped by a stunning white head. In the aroma, the Citra hop shines offering up grapefruit goodness, and general citrus aroma merriment. On drinking it is silky smooth and surprisingly sweet. It suffers like all DIPA's though if left too long, as mouthfeel became more sicky towards the end, which is my error for not crushing it (damn kids distracting me lol).

But what a great intro! These "Fine" folks ship across Ontario so check them out! Thanks for checking in and I hope you enjoyed my beer review?
