Let's move past that crazy spell and get into my next beer on my way to getting all my notes out into the public domain. Today is Black as Midnight on a Moonless Night - yep that is a Twin Peaks quote. It's another one of those crazy fruit beers Evil Twin was into a while back.
Details
Style: Imperial Stout

Own Opinion
What is with me? Am I a sucker for crazy-ass beers or just a fanatic of Evil Twins' evil genius? This beer pours the blackest of black with a decent coffee-brown head that hangs on for a bit before turning into a lingering line on top of the brew. The aroma on this is rather intense, dark bitter chocolate straight away, with coffee, caramel, burnt sugar, vanilla and mango. This is a real mind fuck of a beer. The taste matches the aromas lots of dark, bitter, chocolate, sweetness that lingers and cuts through the alcohol with the fruity mango and passionfruit coming through to help blend and balance everything. This brew really has me thinking of a milk stout but that 12% really hinders the drinkability and I had to share this heavy hitter. If they ever did a 6% version of this I would happily buy again and again.
