Beer Review 76 // Cacao Cosmos by Microbrasserie 4 Origines

It's cold, it's dark, it's a frozen wasteland in Ottawa. When the weather is this dull what you need in this life is a chocolate porter!

Commercial Fluff: A collaboration between 4 Origines and Cacao70

This beer is about cacao. In the process of creating chocolate, much is transformed from the original cacao bean. So we teamed up with Cacao70 to salvage some lost components of the bean, infuse its heavenly scent and flavor into our process and brew a cacao-rich porter!

Own Opinion

Label: A beautifully designed label and very fitting for the style of beer.

Pour: Dark, dark pour. The head was lively as seen in the picture but settled quickly.

Aroma: A nice chocolate aroma and sweet brown sugar.

Taste: Smooth, roasty and chocolatey. Has a nice warmth about it and I really enjoyed the slight linger chocolate taste.

Would I buy it again: Yes. This is not the first time I've bought this beer and I am sure it will not be the last. This is one of my favourite breweries in Montreal and for very good reason. The brewery is beautiful the staff friendly and welcoming and the beer on point. So next time you are in Montreal go treat yourself. I promise you want regret it.
